FP7 consultation workshop on Innovative mass storage technologies: Future R&D and new challenges
Monday, May 29 – Afternoon (parallel event to IMST - E-PCOS)
|
The FP7 consultation meeting will be held at the Maison des Micro et Nanotechnologies de Grenoble from 14:00 to 18:00 It is a follow-up of the parts of the SRA (Strategic Research Agenda) of the Photonics21, ENIAC and EPOSS Technology Platform dealing with mass storage technologies and their applications
and of the 1 st Consultation WS held in Brussels (June 2005).
The workshop aims at
brainstorming on the major R&D challenges and needed technical breakthroughs, identify roadmaps, timelines for research and prioritise between different research
identifying emerging applications that would drive such interdisciplinary research
evaluating the likely impact on the economy and society
encouraging cooperation, coordination and ease reaching a critical mass in Europe
identifying appropriate stimulating actions in the 7 TH Framework Programme.
